Ductwork is the tube the in concealed within your ceiling/ internal riser boxing which provides extraction from your property to the external wall. To comply with current fire regulations, we are required to replace the plastic pipework with fire rated duct work. Replacing this ductwork will ensure that should a fire start in the future, that the ductwork will not contribute to the spread of fire.
These works will take a maximum of 4 days within your living room and bedroom. We will need to:
- Install protective sheeting
- Remove the section of plasterboard ceiling / wall finishes (approx. 2 m2 maximum per location)
- Install the new ductwork
- Tape and joint the plasterboard ceiling / wall finishes
- Fill and make good where necessary and redecorate
All occupants will still have full access to living room and bedrooms when required.
